Imagine a maternity line that keeps cost down without sacrificing style! Well, it exists and it's thanks to fellow momma, fashion aficionado, and founder of Heritwine Maternity (www.heritwinematernity.com), Bouvier Eulen. Eulen started this maternity boutique after she herself became pregnant and found her maternity wear choices were limited due to price or style in general. She was looking for something that reflected her personality and imagined that there were other women just like her out there. Her dream of providing affordable yet trendy maternity fashion became a reality through Heritwine!
The looks available at Heritwine are meant to be worn before, during, and after pregnancy- so the longevity of the product is extended because it's maternity-friendly and belly approved! More importantly, you're getting your money's worth!
I loved so many of the dresses available at the boutique, it was hard to just choose one for my collaboration with Heritwine! As soon as I saw this neon floral off-the-shoulder beauty (http://www.heritwinematernity.com/collections/dresses/products/orange-paradise-silk-blend-maternity-maxi-dress), I was in love! And Heritwine is not limited to just dresses, it offers everything from swimwear to maternity leggings in all sorts of colors and prints!
I can't tell you how many compliments I've received on this dress! It is just so festive and flirty and it's hard not to be distracted by the exciting pops of orange, yellow, and green. It makes you think of paradise. We took this 'señorita' dress as I like to call it, on a photo adventure to the Thompson Miami Beach (http://www.thompsonhotels.com/hotels/thompson-miami-beach). My photographer, Raquel (www.raquelzaldivarphotography.com), thought this dress would fit in perfectly with the retro landscape of the art deco hotel. She was right! The dress was right in it's element.
There's this unfortunate misconception by many women that style and fashion are thwarted by pregnancy. That's not the case. Pregnancy is a great time to experiment and try new trends and show off your best accessory- your baby bump! Of course there will be days you don't feel like getting out of your leggings and white tee, but it's clothes like the ones offered at Heritwine, that make dressing up not only fun but also worthwhile because they are easy to wear and effortless. Throw on some gloss and you are ready to go!
Big thanks to Glam Squad (www.glamsquad.com) for the fab hair and makeup for the shoot. I love the braids and the bright lips! I paired the look with some vintage-inspired sun glasses from Pixie Market, turquoise teardrop earrings, and a gold necklace. The strapless style lets you play around with some neckline bling, though I opted for something more matte. You can wear this dress with heels or flats, but for the shoot, I wanted these great wedges from Payless (yes, Payless)! I recently wore the dress to my sister-in-law's rehearsal dinner and wore it with the most divine metallic gold sandals and it looked so amazingly chic with the dress! And that's what I love about a dress like this- it's versatility- which makes it a must-have for our fashionable preggo mommas!
