Miami Style Map: Wash And Spin Fashion

When Natalie from Suna Photography http://www.sunaphotography.com/ proposed a laundromat for one of our latest blog collabs, I was excited but also a bit skeptical. Sure, I'd seen the domestic backdrop in glossy magazines, but I wasn't sure how well it would translate to my "real life." I use that term loosely considering this isn't how I looked when I would drag my laundry bag down a 5 story walk up to the nearest cleaners on 1st Ave.

But, alas! This is fashion and fashion is fun and it's all about experimenting and feeding into my wildest 'complejos de supermodelo'. And Natalie was part of that cool vision and I loved what she did here with the juxtaposition of everyday domesticity and bright hues.

This black and white image is one of my favorites. Natalie snapped this while changing the settings on her camera and I sat watching some horrible made for TV movie on Lifetime that was playing on a flat screen. Since when do local laundromats have flat screens and why a horror movie so early in the am?! A romantic comedy goes so better with wash and fold don't you think?

That's just my two cents.

This bright yellow tropical print crop top is part of a matching set. And what's great about a matching set is that they can be multiple outfits in one since you can wear them together or as separate pieces. So I paired the crop top with a semi-high waisted pencil skirt by Club Monaco.

To keep the look playful, i paired the outfit with wedged sandals and hot pink lips (MAC Embrace) courtesy of Makeup Artistry by Jessie http://www.jessiesierradiaz.com/

How fantastic is this bright purple Fendi clutch? It's such a happy color and an oldie but a goodie from my fashion-forward counterpart and BFF. It's an animated addition that swirls in the same color scheme of the tropical themed top. And against the classic denim wash, it keeps the rest of the outfit from going overboard.

I kept the rest of the accessories light, with a gold statement necklace and my oval coral ring, which is fun and bold!

Who knew doing laundry could ultimately be so fashionable?!
