It's a Bride's World After All.

Last night the recently renovated Coral Gables Country Club, transformed itself into a bridal wonderland for the It's So Miami Wedding Showcase organized by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor's Bureau, which helps kick off Miami Romance Month. And what perfect timing after Miami was named the fourth most romantic city in the U.S by Amazon. I don't know, maybe it's the smart and sexy women, the wild warm weather, or the romance novel type candle-lit dinners overlooking the bluest of beaches? I'd say all of the above. It's hard not to fall in love when you live in paradise. And many lovebirds had the chance to peruse some of the top luxury wedding vendors (along with sampling some delicious sweets and snacks)our spicy city has to offer. Event planners, caterers, florists, photographers and more, were on hand to provide couples with a first hand glimpse of how wedding day magic can be theirs.

One of the vendors present at the wedding expo was luxury bridal consignment store, La Vie En Blanc (LVEB), which also put on a show stopping bridal fashion show featuring just a few of their wedding dresses and accessories and I was so honored to be a part of it and model one of these stunning gowns on the runway.

Friends and Founders of La Vie En Blanc, Jenise Castro and Viviana Planas pose with some of the models backstage.

Founded by two friends with a love of all things white, this unique resale experience caters to savvy brides looking for THE dress at a fraction of the cost. And it sure beats letting a potentially ready-to-be-used-and-loved-again wedding gown collect dust in a dark closet somewhere. Why shouldn't every bride be privy to an Oscar or a Vera? Sure sounds like a treat to me!

Models of all different shapes and sizes featured these one of a kind lovelies to a packed room of blushing brides. Makeup Artistry By Jessie and her talented team, alluringly transformed these girls into wedding day possibilities with a variety of hair and makeup combinations that visually complemented each gown.

Every bride craves a touch of timelessness and glamour on their big day and accessories are an easy and special way to evoke that classic element. Take a look at these amazing accessories worn by some of the models yesterday. Most of the headpieces and sashes shown on the runway are custom made exclusively for La Vie En Blanc by Aristina and are all available for purchase.

Aristina headpiece is $225.

Sash by Aristina. Retails for $225.

My favorite!
Aristina headpiece $325

Now, while I may not have any previous supermodel experience to boast about (or a supermodel's height), that did not mean I didn't relish in my 10 seconds in the spotlight- my fantasy come true. My expectations were low- don't be that girl that falls on her face. Mission accomplished. It was all about the dress or dresses, for that matter, and I felt like a gorgeous bride reliving my wedding day (Coco, will you marry me again?), minus the hangover. My stunning lace strapless dress with a not so traditional, yet distinct, jewel-encrusted black sash at the waist was a one of a kind piece. It was a drop waist, completely fitted until my mid thighs and then, poof! White embroidered tulle cascaded and swayed with each step I took. I mean, who doesn't feel like a supermodel in a dress like that!

Modeca Gown retails for $1200. Relove for $960.

  1. I do think hiring a wedding planner is quite necessary if you have enough budget and it's a medium or large wedding with at least 100 wedding guests!
